The National Leasehold Campaign (NLC) is the largest grassroots movement bringing together leaseholders across England and Wales.
The National Leasehold Campaign (NLC) was established in 2017 to galvanise leaseholders nationwide to unite and end the feudal Leasehold System. We now have over 34,000 members on Facebook alone. Run by volunteers, the NLC brings together leaseholders who have been affected by issues such as escalating ground rents, hidden charges and a lack of control over their properties. Through campaigning, awareness-raising and engagement with policymakers, the NLC has become one of the UK’s leading voices for leaseholders.

The NLC campaigns to:
- Abolish Residential Leasehold in England & Wales
- Ensure all houses are TRUE freehold (Not Fleecehold)
- Mandate Commonhold, and support easy transition for exisiting leaseholders to convert
- Regulation of Managing Agents
Secure justice and redress for existing leaesholders
Our community has grown into the UK’s largest grassroots housing campaigns, supporting and empowering tens of thousands of leaseholders.
